'Welleri' retains its green color throughout the winter. This is a good replacement
for American boxwood if you desire a lower form or if you live further north.
Compact and broad, this evergreen reaches 3 feet tall and about 5 feet wide.
Popular specimen plant offers oval, lustrous dark green foliage on a dense,
multi-branched form. Excellent informal screen if left unclipped. Tolerates
pruning well for use as a hedge, in topiary work or formal gardens. Does not
do well in alkaline soils or hot dry areas.
