Crispa is a unique Spirea because of it's deeply serrated foliage that
occasionally twist, giving it a rugged texture. New leaves are red and fade
to green. Blooms appear in late spring to early summer and are a deep pink.
Prefers full sun, and will tolerate most any soil. Deadheading blooms can
produce a second show of flowers later in the season, and as with most other
Spirea, the Crispa maintains a clean look if pruned back hard every 3-4 years.
