Green gem boxwood is one of the hybrids developed in canada at the famous
Sheridan Nursery. These hybrids can withstand very cold temperatures and
maintain good color. Green gem has a small leaf and a very full habit making it
ideal for many applications. A slow-growing dwarf plant that forms a tight ball
measuring about 2' x 2', having very dark green foliage throughout the year,
makes an excellent short, formal hedge when planted closely and requires very
little shearing to maintain its shape.
