The Pocomoke Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei 'Pocomoke')
is a true dwarf crape myrtle that was released by the U.S. National
Arboretum. It displays deep pink blooms all through summer, until frost.
This drought tolerant shrub is great small areas, and is often used to
create a low hedge. It can be planted as a specimen or in groups, for
hedges plant 2 to 3 feet apart. Pocomoke has excellent mildew resistance
and will bloom for about 110 days.
