It has been said that a garden without a
Viburnum is akin to life without music and art. The summer foliage is
medium to dark green and develops reddish to deep claret in fall. The
flowers are borne in flat topped, 3-5 in. diameter cymes - the outter
flowers are white and produced in mid-May. This species is very adapted
to shady, moist areas ideal for naturalized situations.Mohawk has a slow
to medium growth rate and will reach a mature height of 8 feet. It is
very similar to the Juddii except for its larger size and tendency to
maintain a compact form for specimen use. This shrub prefers full sun or
partial shade and well-drained soil. It may be pruned after flowering.
